The colour scheme of furniture and accessories
It's not a rule of thumb, but the collaboration of colours and their shades is best expressed in the main lounge. Living rooms have several separate zones, characterised by taller and more massive furniture, accessories and technology. The play of lights and colours affects our emotional well-being, enhances communication and relaxation.Even in a distracting, uncomfortable environment, you don't have to start replacing furniture and rearranging accessories. Once you've decided on a particular style of room, study its dominant colours and recommended furniture arrangements. That alone won't be enough, there's one more dominating factor or constant!
Room floors are a matter for the whole living area (or at least most of it), they are constantly under load, taking much longer and more difficult to work with than when moving or replacing furniture for a more original feel. Floors are among the most susceptible to soiling, which greatly affects the visual effect of the environment.

General rules of colour harmony in interiors
However, it cannot be denied that floors are dominant and interact with furniture and sofas arrangement. Floors and furniture work beautifully together with the most authentic shades and sheen. Natural colours and motifs are the best way to perfectly balance everything.Realistic finishes may not suit everyone, so focus on one neutral colour, follow up with up to two brighter colours (e.g. green and blue, never a contrasting pair) from the basic spectrum and finally go with one accent colour, ideally only on smaller accessories (this can be orange, yellow, but only 10-15% of the total colour representation in the room). For a cosy and calm environment, we should not choose strongly contrasting shades such as orange with purple as the dominant colours with the largest representation.
What is your visual intention for the room?
If colour choice is a style requirement, we find solid metal furniture for industrial style on hardwood and darker wood floors. The metal on the furniture is subtle and detailed, the floor a little lighter, so your intention may be a rustic style. In our interiors, we rarely see flooring in black in high gloss. It is in demand in modern luxury suites, typical of a masculine interior style. Here, however, we choose furniture colours carefully, and incorrectly chosen ceiling shades can also contribute to the contrast. Don't limit yourself to white and grey at all, light browns and yellows will enhance your luxury living even more.

From contrast to contrast?
Who doesn't like black, seeks the fresh and timeless character of white flooring. They are an expression of Scandinavian and minimalist style. We recommend choosing the same light colours for the walls and ceiling, but choose at least 2 shades darker for the furniture. The space is visually enlarged and at the same time does not look monotonous.Be careful not to overshadow this "lively", natural look with a few more dark colours with dark brown floors. The room becomes visually smaller and, with the lack of natural light, we lose ourselves in it. White furniture in high gloss, red or deep yellow accessories are a great choice to go with a dark floor.
